About the Coach:
Adam Williams moved to Harrisonburg in 2010 to begin studying at JMU after serving active duty in the military. He quickly got involved with the cycling community and started exploring local mountain bike trails. He loves biking and running in the mountains because he can exercise while enjoying the great outdoors. Adam has become passionate about providing local youth with the chance to develop basic and more advanced skills for riding, as well as being part of a team, with a big focus on having fun! He views cycling as a healthy lifetime activity with a chance to enjoy the excitement of competition at many levels.
Adam graduated from JMU in 2013 with a bachelors degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science and a minor in Coaching Education. He has worked with some local teams including Spotswood High School Cross Country as Assistant Coach, James Madison Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field as Assistant Coach, and most recently he has assisted in developing the ShenRock Junior MTB Team. Adam has also become an experienced racer including competing in Mountain biking and Triathlon at the national level as well as competing in Road Cycling, Cyclocross, and Trail Running events.
Adam can offer you the skills you need to become more efficient and competent or even reach that competitive edge!
