PIVOT Trail 429 Pro XT/XTR 12 Speed
The Trail 429 is an extremely capable bike, especially for the rocky mountain bike riding that exists around here in Harrisonburg, VA. Short chainstays, the dw-link™ suspension design, and a very well thought out geometry that lends itself to maintaining momentum on both climbs and descents give the Trail429 effortless and confident handling. If you’re looking for a bike that can handle some all-mountain trail gnar, but still be able to hit up races ranging from XC to Enduro, this is your bike.
We have two of these Trail429 Pro XT/XTR 12 speed bikes in the shop, available for demo; medium and large sizes. It has been a lot of fun getting out on these bikes!

S-WORKS power saddle keeps things light AND comfortable
The new Epic HT can also fit a proper dropper post, if you would like to have one. With a wider seat tube than the previous Epic HT, the dropper possibilities have grown quite a bit! No more “mini” droppers, yay!

Kelly's 2020 Diverge Comp
Gravel riding has arrived and is here to stay. After racing a full 2019 season on dirt roads, I decided it was time to commit to a bike that was better suited for longer days in the saddle on gnarly ‘groads’ (yep i said it, GROADS).
So, the 2020 Diverge Comp is my bike of choice for this coming year, and I’m so excited!
See?! Much excitement!
Gravel, rocks, dirt, sand, forest… these roads have always been around, but have recently become quite popular. They’re fun, dynamic, add more adventures to the bike life, and are less trafficked by automobiles. Safer, quieter, and exciting terrain? That sounds pretty nice. But the standard road bikes can feel a bit harsh on bumpy roads. It used to be we would just have a “run what you ‘brung” attitude, but the industry has caught on that gravel riding is a thing, and out of that has come the “Gravel Bike”.
The Diverge is Specialized answer to riding the road less traveled. It has larger tire clearance, a Future Shock, and a frame geometry that really brings the “Smoother is Faster” statement to life. Compared to the Crux I was on, this bike has shorter chainstays, a lower bottom bracket, less fork rake, higher stack, and less reach. It’s a geometry that makes the bike feel grounded and snappy at the same time - capable of instilling confidence and control in a wide range of riding conditions. The frame is also Rider-First Engineered™ (just like the Venge, Tarmac, and Roubaix), which essentially gives the same ride experience on every single size of this bike; no chattery feelings on the smaller frames and no flexy feelings on the larger ones. It’s a whole different machine from the bike I was riding, and I can’t wait to take it on some new adventures.
Having the option of being able to ride up to a 42c tire makes this bike ready for a variety of rides, races, and events. At LandRun100 and the DirtyKanza, the tire of choice is usually a 38c, whereas at an event like GRUSK a 32c tire is perfect for their mixture of gravel and pavement. And if things get real gnarly, like for the Rockstar VA Gravel Route, it’s great to know that I could put 42c tires on there and be OK.
In addition to the tire clearance, I’m excited to be riding a bike with a Future Shock. The Future Shock adds a bit of suspension, damps vibrations, and makes it feel like you’re riding in a cloud with unicorns flying next to you. Ok, I may have exaggerated that statement, BUT it is such an incredibly smooth ride, all you’re going to do is smile when you’re on this bike.
I’m hoping to go on some new trips and adventures in 2020 and this is the bike that will be coming along. It’s going to be great!

This bike is a lot of fun! With a comfortable upright position, a motor that assists up to 28mph, and hydraulic disc brakes, this bike is ready to zip around wherever you want to take it!
The custom Turbo Aluminum Low-Entry frame on the Como cleanly houses the battery and motor, while still keeping the lightweight properties that E5 is known for. Pair this with Specialized Ground Control Geometry, and you have a durable and lightweight bike that'll keep you rolling in style.
The Turbo Como’s Specialized 1.2. 250W, motor has been fully integrated with the frame, and has been custom-tuned for city riding. It intuitively reacts to the force of your pedaling, so the harder you pedal, the more power it delivers. And with an internal belt drive design, it does this without added vibration for the smoothest and most silent ride possible.
Specialized made the custom 500 Wh battery to be fully integrated with the frame, removable for easy charging, and lockable for added security. It communicates with the display and has multiple modes to maximize the overall efficiency and range. For range estimates based upon a variety of variables, please refer to our Turbo Range Calculator.
The fully integrated motor and battery of the Turbo Como keeps everything looking clean and sleek.
The Specialized batteries are fully integrated in the frame, removable with a key, and possess their own circuitry and software that prevents the common ailments of overcharging and under-voltage.
A 1x10 Shimano drivetrain provides all the gear range you could want and keeps things simple.
With only 1 shifter to deal with and hydraulic disc brakes, this bike is set up to give powerful and efficient control.
Ready to roll!
The Specialized Turbo Motors are the quietest, smoothest, and most powerful bottom bracket motors in the world.
The Turbo display shows battery charge level, distance traveled, time, and speed. It is also Bluetooth and ANT connect capable so you can connect to your Turbo Como through the Specialized Mission control app.
Bright lights - both headlight and taillight come stock on all Turbo Comos. They are easy to turn on or off, and are visible during the day and night.
At Rocktown Bicycles, we have Comos available for demo, so if you want to see what the eBike world is all about, come stop by and give a bike a test ride!

2020 Roubaix Comp Di2
The All-New Roubaix Comp Di2

A few notes on this specific build:
The tires seen in these pictures are not stock, I installed what is probably my all time favorite road/gravel tire - 32c Roubaix Pro 2bliss Ready, with the Transparent sidewall.
The 2bliss Ready setup allows for lower tire pressure to be run, and it feels SO good, especially on chip-seal and gravel roads
The transparent sidewall tires made by Specialized are actually a bit lighter than the non-transparent version, and are just as durable
32c is probably the perfect size for most gravel roads and countryside pavement. Smooth, fast, and fun.
2019 Allez Elite
There's no denying it, we're still in love with aluminum road bikes, and when it comes to transforming this passion into a labor of love, we make a bike like the Allez Elite. If you're just finding your cycling legs, this is the best place to start.
E5 Premium Aluminum frame features fully manipulated tubing with smooth welds that increase stiffness and efficiency, while looking just as good as it performs.

2019 Turbo Levo Comp
The Turbo Levo Comp was designed to be a proper trail bike, first and foremost. It takes geo, kinematics, and design cues from our newest trail bikes, like the Stumpjumper, and adds industry-leading tech that gives you the power to ride more trails. New motor? Check. New battery? Check. Incredibly lightweight and capable chassis? Check and double-check.
Turbo Levo Comp 29 Specs:
The completely redesigned alloy Levo frame features an M5 alloy front- and rear-end, an asymmetrical design, and our 29 Trail Geometry, so it's just the right amount of both capable and comfortable. Kinematics of the frame have also been perfected, along with rider-tuned stiffness. Cable routing is all internal, including that of the Command Post IR, while the battery is fully integrated in the down tube, while the minimalist motor is mounted in a more secure, lighter way.
The custom Specialized 2.1 Rx Trail-tuned motor is more efficient, 15% smaller, and 11% lighter than its predecessor. This successfully places it at the top of e-bike motor technology. It has many other features that no other e-bike can touch, like instant engagement, fantastic heat management, a double freewheel design that disengages the gear box when you hit top speed, and silent, smooth, and consistent output—even at max power.
This Turbo’s new Specialized M2-series battery features a 500Wh capacity. And, of course, still seamlessly integrated inside the frame and is easily removable, too.
